CAIRO – 21 May 2017: Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo’s family visit Hurghada on Sunday. Ronaldo’s family participated in the opening ceremony of Albatros Aqua Park Hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh. The hotel cost more than LE 1 billion ($55.4 million).

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aveiro, performed with great enthusiasm in the opening ceremony of the largest water park in the Middle East. Aveiro took off her shoes and sang barefoot. Fireworks lit Sharm el-Sheikh’s sky during the celebration.

Kamel Abu Ali, businessman and head of the Red Sea Tourism Investment Association, honored Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother during the ceremony; he awarded her the prize of the ideal mother. Ronaldo’s family had arrived in Cairo last Wednesday in a touristic tour organized by Abu Ali.

The family of Real Madrid’s footballer visited the Giza pyramids and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, accompanied by the chairperson of Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board, Hisham el-Demery. Abu Ali said that the visit is a message to tourists and investors in all fields from all over the world that Egypt is safe.
