CAIRO - 25 July 2018: Chairman of "Support Egypt" parliamentary coalition Mohamed el Sewedy urged the government to give much attention to supporting small- and micro-scale enterprises, integrating the informal economy into the formal sector and reforming the taxation systems.

Addressing the parliament at the conclusion of discussions on the government's policy statement, Sewedy underlined the necessity of attaching special importance to technical education and industrial training through accredited government bodies to produce a skillful workforce that is qualified for the international market.

He also underlined the need for establishing mega trade stores by the government to mitigate the rise in prices of commodities, asking the government to determine the legislation it might need to protect the real estate assets and continue its economic reform plan.

Meanwhile, Parliament undersecretary Suleiman Wahdan called on the government to implement its promising program according to a specific timetable, announcing his approval of the government program.
