Egypt’s weather to be relatively hot on Tuesday

CAIRO – 23 July 2018: Egypt’s Meteorological Authority expects temperatures to rise on Tuesday, July 24, as weather will be hot on the north-eastern coast, and the western coasts, especially during the day; however, the weather is anticipated to be relatively mild at night.

Clouds will appear on the northern parts of the country and the wind will be northwesterly moderate and active on the far west.

According to the Meteorological Authority forecast, both of the Mediterranean and Red seas will be moderate with a wavelength of 1 to 1.5 meters for the Mediterranean and 1.5 to 2 meters for the Red Sea with northwesterly surface winds.

Following are the anticipated temperatures for some of Egypt’s governorates (in degrees Celsius):

Cairo: 40 °C - 25 °C
Alexandria: 36°C - 25°C
Matrouh: 35°C - 25°C
Minya: 41°C - 25°C
Qena: 42°C - 28°C
Aswan: 43°C - 31°C
Halayeb: 36°C - 27°C
Shalateen: 38°C - 28°C

Last Saturday Egypt’s weather was fair on the north coasts, with an extreme rise in temperature in Upper Egypt, and a slight decline in temperature during the night. The capital saw highs of 36°C and lows of 25°C. Clouds were low in Northern Egypt and winds were moderate northeasterly.
