CAIRO – 21 July 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi witnessed on Saturday the graduation ceremony of a new batch of police cadets at the Police Academy in New Cairo city, on the southeastern edge of Cairo Governorate.

Attending the ceremony were Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki, Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq, Police Academy chief Major General Ahmed Ibrahim and Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese along with senior police officials and ministers.

Addressing the graduation ceremony of a new batch of police cadets, Police Academy chief Major General Ahmed Ibrahim welcomed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, affirming that the police officers are determined to assume their duties, exert dedicated efforts and make great sacrifices.

The Police Academy chief expressed appreciation to Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq for sponsoring the academy, saying that upon assuming the post, Tawfiq issued directives on developing the security action system, including training and research domains at the academy to go in line with the current developments and updates.

The Police Academy chief pointed out that 1,281 academy students are being graduated today, highlighting that the academy has obtained academic accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Education.

Ibrahim thanked all scientific, research and training State bodies for providing all needed assistance to the academy, topped by the Armed Forces, military institutions, judicial bodies and Foreign Ministry for their dedicated efforts.

Following a statement by the Police Academy chief, the new cadets performed sports show and a simulation of clashes with outlaws.
The shows also included a display of Aikido and Karate techniques.
The shows highlighted fighting and combat skills of the police officers and showed their capabilities in shooting targets.

For his part, Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq welcomed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, saying that the graduation of the new police cadets ensures that the Egyptian security march is determined to achieve aspirations of having a safer tomorrow with less crime rates.

Addressing the ceremony, the interior minister said that the Egyptian police managed to take key steps in fighting criminal and terrorist activities, asserting that they are well aware of the size of threats facing the Arab region.

Tawfiq pointed out that the security strategy is based on basic pillars that seek backing all aspects of stability and maintaining security in all domains.

The interior minister asserted his ministry's keenness on promoting the human elements and upgrading their capabilities.
The minister expressed appreciation for the Armed Forces, terming them as the nation's shield, highlighting the relations of integration and strong coherence binding Egypt's police and Armed Forces.

Addressing the fresh cadets, Tawfiq said that "today you will take the oath to protect the homeland". He extended greetings to their families.
The national march is going ahead towards progress, development and prosperity under the wise leadership of president Sisi, Tawfiq added.

He hailed Sisi’s keenness on strengthening the foundations of the Egyptian State and pushing forward the development march.

CAIRO - 21 July 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi witnessed on Saturday the graduation ceremony of a new batch of police cadets at the Police Academy in New Cairo city, on the southeastern edge of Cairo Governorate. The graduation ceremony started with playing the national anthem upon the arrival of President Sisi.
