CAIRO – 14 July 2018: U.S. President Donald Trump congratulated the Egyptian people and government on the Egyptian National Day due on July 23, said the Egyptian Embassy in Washington in a statement published on its Facebook account on Saturday.

Egyptians celebrate their national day on July 23, the anniversary of the 1952 Revolution when Egypt declared its republic to put an end to the monarchy after overthrowing King Farouk I.

The Egyptian Embassy organized a celebration on the occasion of the Egyptian National Day, which was attended by Jared Kushner, the senior advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump, and Yael Lempert, the acting deputy assistant secretary for Egypt and the Maghreb.
