CAIRO – 19 May 2017: A heat wave that has been witnessed over the past week across Egypt is expected to relent Friday, according to Egyptian Meteorological experts.

After the temperature hit almost 40 degrees Celsius, Cairo will record daily high of 29 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius at night on Friday.

Mediterranean city of Alexandria will also see lower temperature of 25 degrees Celsius during the day and 20 degrees Celsius at night.

The Egyptian official forecast authority previously said that the heat wave is expected to recur over spring time until June 21.
