CAIRO – 3 July 2018: Two Egyptians in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, were charged of kidnapping the son of a Libyan diplomat; they will be remanded in custody for at least 60 days, according to the Ukranian News Agency, Unian.

The two Egyptians kidnapped the 26-year old son of a Libyan diplomat on Turhenivska Street at about 12 p.m. on June 25, according to the press office of the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office.

The perpetrators, aged 37 and 22, forcibly put their hostage in a car and took him to an unknown location to ask for a ransom in return for his release, and after they failed to get the ransom, they released him.

Their names have not been declared and they will face seven years in prison.
