FILE: Egyptian House Speaker, Ali Abdel Aal
CAIRO – 28 June 2018: Speaker of the Parliament, Ali Abdel Aal, called on Egyptian expats to deliver the true account of the situation in Egypt to the people of the countries where they reside.
His remarks came during his meeting with prominent figures of the Egyptian community in Germany as part of his official visit to the European country.
During the meeting, Abdel-Aal stressed the role of the sons and daughters of Egypt abroad as Egypt's ambassadors who are responsible for conveying a realistic picture of the situation in Egypt.
He further exchanged talks with members of the community and listened to their views on the challenges faced by the country, according to a statement issued by the Parliament on Thursday.
Being on the head of a parliamentary delegation, Abdel Aal arrived in Berlin on Wednesday upon an invitation from President of the German Bundestag, Wolfgang Schäuble.
Abdel Aal is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with German officials during his visit to Berlin which aims at exchanging expertise on several issues of mutual interest.
