CAIRO – 25 June 2018: The United States Consul in Alexandria, Nancy Corbett, affirmed on Monday the United States' keenness to promote the relations with Egypt in all fields.

“As Egypt continues to progress at all levels and play a positive role in regional stability and economic growth, the United States and the American people are ready to enter into partnership with them and encourage them to succeed,” Corbett said.

This comes during her speech in the U.S. consulate’s Independence Day celebration (240 years since the independence of the United States from Great Britain).

The celebration was attended by Deputy Head of Mission, Dorothy Shea; USAID Director, Sherry Carlin; and Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense, Ralph Grover.

“Personally, I cannot imagine a better way to celebrate Independence Day than in Alexandria,” Corbett said. She added that the consulate appreciates the efforts of diplomats and employees working in the consulate to achieve the common goals.
