CAIRO - 19 June 2018: Egyptologist and archaeologist Zahi Hawass will head on Wednesday to the capital of Kosovo, Pristine, to give a lecture on the secrets of the Pharaohs, his archaeological findings and Tutankhamen's family.

The visit comes upon an invitation from Kosovo's President Hashim Thaçi.

The Kosovan president will host a reception in honor of Hawass, who will receive the Order of the Republic of Kosovo, in recognition to his efforts in promoting archaeological and historical culture.

In addition, Kosovo's Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj along with Speaker of Kosovo Parliament, Kadri Veseli will hold a celebration to honor the Egyptian archaeologist.

In a statement on Tuesday, Hawass said that during his five-day visit, he is set to tour several archaeological sites as well as handicraft exhibitions and attend theatrical performances within the framework of the Egyptian cultural week in Kosovo.

Then, he is scheduled to leave for Sicily island in Rome to attend the Cairo Opera House's "Lotus and Papyrus" and a cultural festival in the Italian city of Viterbo which will include Islamic art and Pharaonic exhibitions.
