CAIRO – 18 June 2018: Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi asserted that the Egyptian-Ethiopian summit, held in Cairo last week, was a success.

In statements to October Magazine, Radi said the summit held between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali reflected the deeply-rooted relations between the two African countries.

The two leaders are keen on solving all pending issues, he added, noting that the Ethiopian premier pledged not to harm Egypt’s right in River Nile according to the 1959 agreement.

The two leaders discussed a number of issues of mutual concern and the situation in Africa as well as means of boosting economic relations in the upcoming period, Radi said.
