CAIRO - 30 May 2018: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar lauded the scientific and educational cooperation with Britain.

British universities receive 20,000 Egyptian students and researchers, he said.

Abdel Ghaffar's remarks came during a meeting with British Investment Minister Graham Stuart and British Ambassador John Casson.

There are scientific cooperation programs between some of the Egyptian universities and their British counterparts, he said.

The ministry is working on facilitating the opening of new branches for British universities in Egypt that would present scientific and academic programs that contribute to the higher education in Egypt.

Meanwhile, Stuart lauded cooperation with Egypt in the different domains, asserting that Egypt has a prominent position in investment and international cooperation.

Stuart said that his visit to Egypt aims at boosting economic cooperation in the different domains and making sure that the investment atmosphere is suitable for investments.
