CAIRO - 13 May 2018: Prosecutor General Nabil Ahmed Sadeq ordered on Sunday 278 members of the Muslim Brotherhood group to be referred to a military court over commanding and joining the so-called Hasm (Decisiveness) and Lewaa al-Thawra (Revolution Brigade) terrorist groups.

The defendants are facing charges of carrying out 12 terrorist attacks, killing eight police personnel and two citizens and making booby-trapped vehicles.

Investigations carried out by the supreme state security prosecution revealed that the defendants had supplied the two armed groups with money and logistic support to target security personnel and vital facilities nationwide.

The public prosecution inspected 24 hideouts of the two terrorist groups, where 100 firearms, 11,000 bullets, 70 bombs, 13 landmines, seven vehicles and military uniforms were found.
