CAIRO – 11 May 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi inspected several ongoing projects in the new Administrative Capital City early Friday.

During the tour, Sisi visited the new capital’s Mosque called “al-Fattah al-Alim”, which Sisi had given orders to build during his participation in the Coptic Orthodox Christmas celebrations on January 7.

Sisi vowed to be the first to donate money to build the largest mosque and the largest church in Egypt in the new capital, his statements were given during his visit to the Coptic Cathedral in Cairo for Coptic Christmas celebrations, which were attended by the Coptic Pope Tawadros II.

The president expressed his ‘satisfaction’ about what he called ‘great achievements by Egyptian hands’ on his official Twitter account, following an inspecting tour in the New Capital City, Friday morning.




The inspection tour comes as part of sudden tours made by President Sisi nationwide to follow up implementation of ongoing construction projects.

Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Kamel al-Wazir, along with several concerned persons were in the company of Sisi during his tour.

The New Capital, which is currently being developed by the New Administrative Capital for Urban Development, is planned to include residential districts, educational institutions, hospitals, 40,000 hotel rooms, a theme park, solar plants and a new international airport.

Land plots in the new capital have already been launched for investors and developers, who are interested in participating in the mega project. Participating developers at the moment include the Arab Contractors Company, Concord for Engineering and Contracting Company, and Talaat Moustafa Group Holding Company.
