Free entry to Egyptian museums on International Museum Day

CAIRO – 11 May 2017: Minister of Antiquities Khaled el-Enany, decided to provide visitors, both Egyptians and foreigners, free entry to all museums in Egypt on May 18, celebrating the International Museum Day, general supervisor of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, Mahrous Saied said Thursday.

Saied added that the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Cairo will host the International Museum Day celebrations for 3 days, held by the Egyptian Committee of the International Council of Museums.

The Museum's media representative, Moataz al-Husseini, said they will organize a series of seminars attended by a group of specialists and academics.

Not much good

It's all very well having free entry to the Egyptian museum being a frequent traveller to Egypt in the past from the uk now because of the trouble there in Egypt there are no flights to Egypt from the uk
