CAIRO- 26 April 2018: President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi signed on Thursday draft law no. 28/2018 on amending some provisions of law no. 100/1987 on setting the salaries of the vice president, the parliament speaker, the prime minister and ministers.

The new law stipulates that the parliament speaker and the prime minister are each to earn a monthly net salary that equals the maximum salary a public employee can get, with both of them having equal rights and benefits.

According to the law, deputies of the premier, the ministers and the governors each earns a monthly net salary that equals the maximum salary a public employee can get.

Meanwhile, deputies of the ministers and those of governors each gets a monthly net salary that equals 90 percent of the maximum salary set, the law stipulated.

The law was published in the official gazette.
