CAIRO - 12 April 2018: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Sabah Khaled al Hamad al Sabah underlined the importance of preserving the integrity of Syrian territories and finding a political solution to the years-long crisis in accordance with relevant UN resolutions.

The two ministers, meeting on the margin of the preparatory meetings of the Arab summit, discussed boosting bilateral relations and preparations for holding the joint committee in May, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said.

Sheikh Sabah congratulated Egyptians on the win of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in presidential election, saying his victory mirrors Egyptians' big confidence in the president.

He expressed Kuwait's support of Egypt and efforts taken to preserve its stability.

Shoukry briefed the Kuwaiti minister on the developments of Operation Sinai 2018.

He said he is looking forward for Kuwaiti emir's visit to Egypt as soon as possible.

Talks tackled the latest development of many crises in the region, especially the Syrian crisis
