Egypt to see rise in temperature along with wind-driven dust

CAIRO – 12 April 2018: A hot wave of temperature hit Egypt on Thursday and would last for a week, said The Egyptian Metrological Authority in a statement on Wednesday.

The clouds are low and medium in Northern Egypt. Winds, escorted with dust are mild southeasterly.

The Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, with a wavelength of 1.5 to 2 meters and southeasterly surface winds.

For the Red Sea, waves are mild to turbulent, with a wavelength of 1.5 meters to 2 meters; the surface winds are north-westerly.

The temperature reaches 32 degrees Celsius (°C) in Cairo, and 30°C in the coastal city of Alexandria.

Suez and Ismailia are set to see their weather at 33°C and Aswan is to expect a high of 36°C.

The Sinai resort cities of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada are expected to see temperatures of 29°C and 31°C, while Minya will witness a high of 35°C.
