CAIRO - 11 April 2018: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head on Thursday for Saudi Arabia to take part in the preparatory meetings of the 29th Arab summit, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid on Wednesday.

The preparatory meetings at the level of foreign ministers will take up important files in light of the recent developments in the region, added the spokesman.

These files include the Palestinian issue and recent escalations against civilians in the Palestinian territories along with the dangerous escalation against Syria and the crises in Libya and Yemen, the spokesman pointed out.

The Arab top diplomats will also discuss means of fighting terrorism along with enhancing inter-Arab solidarity and the Arab national security, added the spokesman.
