Egypt - 20 March 2018: During the meeting attended by Egypt's top diplomat and Greece's Ambassador to Egypt Christos Diamessis, President Sisi expressed Egypt's appreciation of Greece's supportive stance particularly in the wake of the June 30 revolution, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi said.

The Greek foreign minister asserted his country's concern with promoting historical relations with Egypt in light of its weight and pivotal role in the region and the role played by President Sisi in combating terror.

He voiced appreciation and admiration of Egypt's achievements in terms of progress in all fields especially infrastructure and mega projects, security and stability.

He praised the tripartite cooperation mechanism involving Egypt, Greece and Cyprus, saying it is a successful model of coordination and cooperation in implementing joint ventures that contribute to reaching economic and social development in these countries.

The meeting covered a number of issues pertaining to bilateral relations and cooperation in the economic, investment and trade domains, he added.

They also discussed the latest developments in the region and ways to confront terror and reach stability, he said.
