CAIRO - 20 March 2018: Egypt and Italy are cooperating for training cadres from African countries on fighting illegal migration, said an assistant interior minister on Tuesday.

Addressing a workshop of a training program on this score that was held in the Egyptian Police Academy, Major General Ahmed el Amry added that organized crime, including illegal migration, has become increasingly dangerous in all world countries.

The situation requires boosting cooperation by all countries and creating new mechanisms for fighting it, he pointed out.

The program comes in line with a protocol that was signed between Egypt and Italy for training African cadres.

Attending were representatives from Tunisia, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Senegal, Niger, Morocco, Mali and other African countries along with Spain and France.
