CAIRO - 20 March 2018: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head on Wednesday for New Delhi leading an Egyptian delegation to the 7th session of the Egyptian-Indian higher committee.

The committee meetings will kick off on Wednesday at the level of senior officials and on Friday at the ministerial level.

Shoukry will meet in New Delhi with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hand over to him a message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on means of boosting bilateral relations.

The meeting will also take up regional and international issues of common concern, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.

Economic cooperation between both countries is given priority in light of the fact that 452 Indian companies are operating in Egypt at total investments estimated at more than three billion dollars, said the spokesman.

Also, trade exchange hit around two billion dollars in 2017, added the spokesman.
