KHARTOUM - 16 March 2018: Egypt's Consul General in Sudan Wiam Sweilem thanked the Egyptian expatriates for their high turnout in the presidential election which started on Friday.

In statements to MENA, he praised the awareness of the Egyptian expatriates in Sudan, especially the elderly people who were keen to cast their ballots while raising the Egyptian flags in a festive atmosphere.

He expects that the coming two days will witness more turnout, underlining that the electoral process is being held in an atmosphere of transparency and democracy, which reflects a civilized image of the Egyptian citizen and the Egyptian state before the countries of the world.

In addition, he thanked the Sudanese authorities for providing all necessary measures to facilitate the electoral process.
