LONDON - 16 March 2018: Moscow will reduce the diplomatic representation in its embassy to the UK by 40 percent, Russian Ambassador in London Alexander Yakovenko said in a statement carried by Sky News channel on Friday.

The TV channel gave no further details about the matter.

The Russian Foreign Ministry had earlier announced that Britain would expect tough measures from Russia in response to expelling 23 Russian diplomats from London on the backdrop of alleged involvement of Russia in the poisoning of a former Russian spy in Britain.
