Explosion targets Palestinian PM convoy upon entrance into Gaza

CAIRO – 13 March 2018: The convoy of Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah was reportedly targeted by an explosion after he entered the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Information Center.

The center quoted the spokesperson for the Palestinian Ministry of Interior, Iyad al-Bozom, saying that there were no injuries inflicted by the explosion.

In his statement on Tuesday, the spokesperson added that the security agencies are investigating the accident, and the convoy continued its scheduled inauguration of a water purification plant.

The blast took place at Salah el-Din Street, northern Gaza Strip, after the passage of the convoy.
