CAIRO – 13 March 2018: Qatari royal Sheikh Sultan Bin Suhaim Al Thani repeated his vows to the Qatari people that they "will continue their mission to restore Qatar to its natural position and get rid of the corrupted ruling regime, which brought us and our neighbors disasters and threatened our security and stability."

Bin Suhaim added on Twitter that they “all united in the face of all these crimes and will cooperate to put an end to this period.”

Bin Suhaim, a son of the first-ever foreign affairs minister of Doha, has boycotted the Qatari regime since the outbreak of the Gulf crisis in June. In Septemper 2017, he released a televised speech where he criticized the Qatari leadership’s position towards terror groups in the region.

Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani froze the bank accounts of Bin Suhaim after showing huge criticism to Tamim’s policies.

Qatari opposition members have taken further steps to voice their concerns and show their refusal of the Qatari regime’s policies with its neighboring Arab countries. Opposing voices to Qatari regime have even grown at home.

Qatar has been hit by its biggest diplomatic crisis in years after multiple Arab nations, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain, cut ties with Qatar, accusing it of destabilizing the region with its support for Islamist groups.

The Arab quartet halted all land, air and sea traffic with Qatar, and withdrew their diplomats and ambassadors from the Qatari peninsula. The Arab quartet issued 13 demands to Doha – then shortened to six principles - including closing Al Jazeera television, curbing relations with Iran and shutting down a Turkish military base.
