CAIRO - 27 February 2018: Tahya Misr Fund "Long Live Egypt" has launched a new initiative for development in Sinai under the name of "Sinai is dear to us" in response to President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi's call for the development of peninsula and purging it from terrorism.

The Fund's director general, Ibrahim Karam, said a bank account has been opened to receive donations and contributions that will be channeled for the development and construction of Sinai in all fields to uproot terrorism in all its forms.

The bank account number is "037037/Sinai Development" and donations can be deposited at all Egyptian banks across the country, he added.

The new initiative reflects the actual meaning of the patriotic call made by President Sisi to all citizens to contribute to the state's plans to introduce a comprehensive development to the peninsula, he added.

President Sisi made the call for donating for Sinai on Sunday, saying that Sinai development plan has already been launched in 2014 and would continue to be implemented till 2022. He also noted that the cost of carrying out the plan would reach LE 275 billion, a huge figure that requires the contribution of all Egyptians.
