President Sisi receives message from Azerbaijani president

CAIRO - 22 February 2018: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a message on Thursday from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on bilateral relations and Azerbaijan's keenness on boosting ties with Egypt in all domains.

Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev delivered the message to the president in a meeting attended by Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr and the Azerbaijani ambassador in Cairo.

The Azerbaijani minister lauded President Sisi's efforts to restore stability in Egypt, amid the crises in the region, affirming that Egypt is considered a pillar for achieving peace in the entire region, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi.

Mustafayev said that holding the fourth session of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani joint committee in Cairo reflects the distinguished relations binding both countries and contributes to pushing forward cooperation, Radi added.

He voiced his country's keenness on boosting investments in Egypt, especially in light of the mega development projects currently under-implementation which offer promising opportunities in various fields, Radi noted.

He also invited the Egyptian investors to visit Azerbaijan to explore spheres of joint cooperation and large capabilities in it, especially in the fields of gas, oil, tourism, health, medicines and education, Radi further noted.

Sisi sent his greetings to the Azerbaijani president, asserting the strength of bilateral relations and Egypt's keenness on boosting joint cooperation in various fields.
