ASWAN, Egypt - 22 February 2018: Algerian nationalist Djamila Bouhired, currently on a visit to Egypt, praised on Thursday efforts exerted by President Abdel Fattal El Sisi to eradicate terrorism.

"Egypt is waging a fierce war against black terrorism that seeks to divide the Arab region," Bouhired told MENA.

Bouhired stressed that she will never forget Egypt's stance in support of the Algerian revolution.

She also reiterated that Arab youths are capable of foiling the West's plots to control the Arab region thanks to their cultural, political and social awareness.

Bouhired is a heroine of the Algerian War of National Liberation from France, 1954–1962. She is known throughout the Middle East as "the Arab Joan of Arc.
