Cairo – 24 April, 2017: Egyptian armed forces raided a number of terrorist hotbeds in Central Sinai on Monday, according to a statement posted on the official Facebook page of the Military Spokesperson Tamer el-Refaey.

“Monday’s operation came as part of the armed forces’ efforts to combat terrorism acts and safeguard areas in Sinai,” the statement said.

As a result of the strike, two militants were killed, a number of hotbeds were destroyed, in addition to seizing three motorbikes that belonged to extremist operatives.

“Army personnel managed to confiscate a truck contained with materials were about to be used in making explosive charges,” the statement added.
