Study suspended in Azhar institutes of N. Sinai Saturday

CAIRO - 10 February 2018: Al Azhar decided on Saturday to halt the study at its institutes in North Sinai as of Saturday until the end of the current anti-terrorism operations, Al Azhar Undersecretary Abbas Shoman said in a statement.

The statement added that the decision was taken to support efforts of the Armed Forces and police as well as to maintain the safety of students.

The Armed Forces announced on Friday the start of a wide-scale operation, in cooperation with the police, at all strategic fronts to uproot terrorism.
