CAIRO - 7 February 2018: Egypt's embassies abroad are continuing preparations for the voting process in the presidential elections that will kick off for Egyptian expats on March 16.

Most of the embassies and consulates published a copy of the decision of the National Election Authority (NEA) on the social networking websites inviting voters to cast their ballots and instructions on what eligible voters need to do to be able to take part in the polls.

Egyptian expats are urged to "positively and effectively" participate in the voting process in the upcoming presidential election, Immigration Minister Nabila Makram said Wednesday.

All parties will work together to identify and address problems that might face Egyptian voters abroad, Makram said in statements.

The Egyptian expats will be having three days to cast their votes starting from March 16, the minister also said, The run-off for expats was set for April 19-21, she added.

Makram had recently met with chairman of the National Election Authority (NEA) Lasheen Ibrahim to coordinate efforts regarding oversees voting.

The NEA will be receiving requests and inquiries of Egyptian expats on its website - https://www.elections.eg - and will act to quickly respond to them, Makram made it clear.
