CAIRO- 22 April 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will meet with President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Joseph Kabila in Cairo on Saturday, to discuss bilateral and international issues of mutual concerns, Presidential Spokesperson Alaa Youssef said in a statement.

Sisi and Kabila will hold a press conference following their meeting at the Presidential Palace of Ittihadyia, the statement added.

On the sidelines of the African Summit held in Kigali, capital of Rwanda, on July 17, 2016, Sisi and Kabila discussed ways of enhancing the bilateral relations, particularly in fields of health and energy.

In their July meeting, Kabila lauded the technical support Egypt offers to his country in the field of training and capacity building, and he looked forward to maximizing benefit from Sisi's initiative to offer 1,000 scholarships for the Sahel-Saharan countries at Egyptian military institutes.
