CAIRO – 19 April 2017: One of the accused suspects in the bombings of St. Mark’s Church in Alexandria and Mar Girgis church in Tanta Mahmoud Mohamed Ali Hussein turned himself Wednesday to the Attorney General in Qena governorate.

The security forces transferred the accused from court to the national security premises amid intensive security measures.

On 9 April this year, Mar Girgis church in Tanta and Alexandria’s Coptic Orthodox Church were attacked during Palm Sunday services, leaving 45 dead and some 125 injured.
IS terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the two attacks on churches in Egypt that targeted Palm Sunday service.
