LONDON - 21 January 2018: Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram participated Sunday in the inauguration of the first Egyptian to the post of deputy lord of a British district.

Naser Fouad was chosen to become the deputy lord of Cheshire county, the first Egyptian to hold such position.

Makram expressed her happiness over the accomplishments of Egyptian expatriates, adding that they make their country proud.

The minister underlined that she would seize the opportunity of her visit to London to meet with Egyptian expatriates there.

She said that she would brief the Egyptian expatriates on the most important projects which were completed in the past four years.

Makram underscored that she would encourage Egyptians living abroad to cast their vote in the upcoming presidential elections.

Egyptian Ambassador to Britain Naser Kamel attended the inauguration ceremony.
