Shoukry to head for Riyadh to take part in ministerial meeting on Yemen

CAIRO - 21 January 2018: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head for Riyadh on Monday to take part in a ministerial meeting of the Coalition Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said on Sunday.

The meeting will tackle efforts to coordinate the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Yemen.

The Riyadh meeting reflects the coalition's commitment to meeting the humanitarian needs of brotherly Yemeni people.

It also mirrors the Egyptian government and people's solidarity with the Yemeni people in times of need and their support of the Yemeni government till it regains full control over Yemeni territories.

He made clear that Egypt has previously dispatched humanitarian assistance to Yemen that was delivered through King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and is about to send a new package of assistance.

The spokesman also unveiled facilities offered by the Egyptian government to members of the Yemeni community and its treatment of several critical cases at Egyptian hospitals.
