RAMALLAH - 17 January 2018: The Palestinian Information Ministry has slammed a US decision to freeze 65 million dollars that had been destined for UNRWA, calling it a "political blackmail" and a "rejected bargain" against lawful Palestinian rights, atop of which the Palestinian rights to Al Quds and the right of return.

The US State Department said 60 million of what had been a planned 125-million-dollar package would go through to keep the agency running, but the rest will be withheld for now.

The Palestinian people and leadership will not give in to US President Donald Trump's threat to accept the so-called "deal of the century" and his violation of international legitimacy resolutions, as well as recognition of Al Quds as the capital of Israel, the Palestinian Information Ministry said in a statement Wednesday.
