CAIRO – 28 December 2017: The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced launching a new edition of its website in both Arabic and English by January, 1 2018, the ministry’s official Facebook page reported on Monday.

“In the framework of the integrated strategy undertaken by the Foreign Ministry to reinforce and diversify means of communication within Egypt and beyond, the ministry is set to launch its new website by the beginning of 2018,” the statement said.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Ahmed Abu Zeid, said that the new edition will provide easier access to the ministry’s news and latest developments, in a unique design that reflects the real face of Egyptian diplomacy on regional and international levels.

He added that the website will offer a closer look at the ministry’s activities and various sectors, including the daily schedule at home and abroad. Abu Zeid also noted that the website will provide electronic consular services and important information to foreigners and Egyptian expatriates, especially with regards to visa requirements to enter Egyptian territories for foreigners as well as consular processes for Egyptian communities abroad.
