Bahrain, US discuss strategic relations

MANAMA - 25 December 2017: Crown Prince and Deputy King Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa met with US Ambassador to Bahrain Justin Siberell and US Fifth Fleet Commander John Aquilino at Riffa Palace, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported Sunday.

During the meeting, the Deputy King highlighted the longstanding ties between Bahrain and the US, which are based on trust, mutual respect, and shared principles and values.

The Deputy King, Ambassador Siberell and Vice Admiral Aquilino discussed regional and international issues, highlighting that strengthening collaboration was crucial to effectively countering extremism and terrorism across the region

They also discussed Bahrain’s role in providing strategic support to the US and boosting international counter-terrorism efforts.
