ADEN - 24 December 2017: At least 12 Houthi militants were killed Sunday in clashes with residents of al Haymah in east of Taiz, Yemeni Saba news agency reported.

Clashes broke out between residents of the area and Iranian-backed Houthi militants, leaving 12 Houthis dead and dozens others wounded, Yemeni security source told Saba.

The source said the residents managed to destroy a tank that was targeting houses in the area, adding that clashes are still ongoing.
