Government rolls out 12 double-decker buses in Cairo early 2018

CAIRO – 23 December 2017: The Government will roll out the first 12 of 40 European-styled double-decker buses early 2018, announced Governor of Cairo, Atef Abuldhamid, on Saturday.

He pointed out that the bus can accommodate up to 70 passengers, and will be distributed on the most congested lines to ease heavy traffic.

Along with 150 minibuses, 130 new natural gas-operated buses will join the existing fleet of the buses belonging to the public authority of transportation with a total cost of LE 500 million.
