TUNIS - 12 December 2017: At least one soldier was killed and six others wounded in a mine explosion in Jebel ech Chambi area, western Tunisia, where extremist militants hide.

Spokesman for the Tunisian Defense Ministry Blhasan al Wslaty told Sky News that a mine went off in Kasserine province, without giving any further details.

The Tunisian security forces track down extremist militants hiding in the west of the country since 2012.
