CAIRO - 12 December 2017: Egypt’s Dar al-Iftaa Fatwa observatory on Monday condemned a terror blast in Manhattan of New York, that left several people wounded.

"Terrorism and Islamphobia are two sides of the same coin, and should be eliminated together," the observatory said.

"No one is immune to terrorist threats," it said, calling for seriously facing Islamophobia that constitutes a main reason for extremism and terrorism in the West.

Earlier in the day, a Bangladeshi man with a homemade bomb strapped to his body set off an explosion at in the Times Square subway station near the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
