CAIRO - 9 December 2017: Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and Mauritania's Isselkou Ould Ahmed Izid Bih arrived in Cairo earlier Saturday to take part in a ministerial meeting to discuss consequences of Washington's decision to move the US embassy in Israel to occupied East Jerusalem.

The Arab top diplomats will focus on repercussions for the region following US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

On Wednesday night, U.S. President Donald Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel during a televised speech from the White House.

Trump’s decision was met by a barrage of criticism and condemnations from many Arab and world leaders, while protests took places in the Gaza Strip, West Bank and different parts of the Arab world.
