KUALA LUMPUR - 8 December 2017: Around 1,000 Malaysians staged a protest at the US embassy here against the decision of US President Donald Trump recognizing Al Quds as the capital of Israel.

According to Fox News, the protesters were led by Minister of Transport Khairy Jamaluddin and moved towards the embassy after Friday prayers chanting slogans such as "long live Islam" and "destroy Zionism".

They also held banners on which phrases such as "liberate Palestine" and "Al Quds is the capital of Palestine", were written.

The minister handed over to the embassy a protest note asserting that the US's decision is illegal as Al Quds is an occupied territory.
