Egypt condemns human rights violations against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar

GENEV - 5 December 2017: Egypt's Permanent Representative to Geneva Ambassador Alaa Youssef condemned on Tuesday human rights violations against Rohingya Muslim minorities in Myanmar.

Addressing a UN Human Rights Council session, Youssef urged the world countries to provide protection for the Rohingya people and help them return to their homes in Myanmar.

He also urged providing the Rohingya Muslims with humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstructing areas destroyed by state authorities in Myanmar.

He also expounded efforts exerted by Al Azhar in support of the Rohingya people in the past period.
