SANAA - 4 December 2017: Yemen's General People's Congress (GPC) on Monday called on its supporters to unite their ranks and overcome the ordeal after the assassination of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.

In a statement, the GPC said that killing Saleh reflected a retaliatory scheme of the Iranian Houthi militias.

Saleh has been killed amid fighting between his supporters and their former allies, the Houthi rebel movement.

GPC Officials said he died in an attack south of the capital, Sanaa.
