CAIRO – 28 November 2017: Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Awwad bin Saleh al Awwad on Tuesday called for a joint Arab media action on the ground in order to combat and uproot terrorism.

In statements at the end of the 8th meeting of the Council of Arab Information Ministers held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, he added that confronting terrorism was the main topic during today's meeting.

The Saudi minister further noted that the terrorist attack that targeted on Friday al Rawda mosque in North Sinai underlines the importance of unity among the Arab States, not only in the media field, but in all fields as well in order to fight terrorism.

In this regard, Awwad stressed that the meeting delivered a message to whoever stands by, supports and promotes terrorism that there is no neutrality in the counter-terrorism war.
