Army says six militants killed in latest North Sinai raid

CAIRO – 28 February 2017: Security forces in North Sinai killed six militants and arrested 18 suspects during their latest raids, army spokesman Tamer el-Refai said in a Monday

The army destroyed two explosives caches and eight explosive devices, he added.

The army's statement comes a few days after Coptic families fled from North Sinai, attempting to escape from Islamist militant threats.

Security forces will continue carrying out their mission with determination to uproot terrorism and eliminate terrorist elements, the statement said.
