KHARTOUM - 22 November 2017: Sudanese President Omar al Bashir and his accompanying delegation headed to Moscow on a four-day official visit to Russia to hold talks with high-level officials topped by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

In statements, the Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour, who accompanied Bashir, said that the visit of the Sudanese president to Russia comes within the framework of strong ties between the two countries.

During the visit, Bashir and Putin will hold a closed meeting followed by expanded talks where the ministers concerned will take part.

The talks will tackle several social, political, cultural and military issues besides joint cooperation, the Sudanese top diplomat underlined.

He further stressed that Bashir will meet the Russian premier, adding that five agreements will be inked in the presence of the two presidents.
